Celebrating a Decade of Innovation: EM3 Marks 10th Anniversary Milestone
Join us in celebrating a significant milestone as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of EM3. A decade ago, we embarked on a journey fuelled by passion, commitment and a shared vision to redefine excellence in our industry. EM3’s co-founders, John Hensey owner of Agility Ltd. (a project management services business) and Donall O’Brien owner of Industrial Utilities Ltd (an energy consulting services business), met during assignments for several multinational pharmaceutical companies. The two principals spotted an opportunity to supply a new type of energy service to large Energy users and so EM3 was born. EM3 exists to provide enhanced value to its customers by bringing engineering expertise, with a business value focus, and a goal setting framework, leveraging the personalities of the principals. This has informed the culture at EM3. EM3 quickly became a global business developing strong links with corporations with worldwide operations. Today, as we reflect on our journey, we take pride in the remarkable achievements, growth, and impact we’ve made.
Since our inception, we have remained steadfast in our dedication to innovation, quality and customer satisfaction. From humble beginnings to becoming a recognised leader in our field, our journey has been shaped by the dedication and perseverance of our team, the unwavering support of our clients, and the trust of our partners and stakeholders. Both John and Donall are passionate about the development of engineers as subject matter experts, as commercially aware project managers, as agile and flexible service providers and as leaders in the whole area of energy and industrial utilities. Seeing capable engineers find a fulfilling career and then exceeding potential is a job well done. Moreover, both remain evangelical about the common sense benefits of the application of energy efficiency, and how this fits with the imperative to transition to a sustainable future by providing the engineering roadmap to achieve this goal. The solution for industry will involve heavy lifting by experts and in EM3 they have created an ally for corporations to carry the burden of this load.
Our team’s commitment to pushing boundaries, embracing change, and staying ahead of the curve has enabled us to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape. Annually, our team manage 610GWh of industrial energy across clients in over 36 countries. In 2023 alone, we identified in excess of €250M of energy savings. Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and remain dedicated to delivering excellence in everything we do.
