Job Overview: As a Product Owner, you will be the visionary leader for our web-based energy management software platform, SAPERA. You will be responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and enhance products that deliver sustainable value to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software product management, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for energy efficiency and technology.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Define and prioritise the product backlog, creating a vision and roadmap for the SAPERA platform that aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including developers, engineers, and designers, to ensure the product suite is robust, scalable, and meets the needs of a diverse user base.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from planning to tactical activities, ensuring timely delivery of features and updates.
- Translate user needs into detailed requirements and user stories, ensuring the platform’s interface is flexible and intuitive.
- Support the department head on the product’s financial aspects, including budgeting and grant applications.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and incorporate it into product development to enhance user satisfaction .
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop key messages and communicate the value proposition of the product to stakeholders.
- Monitor the market and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Work on the development and implementation of data science and analytical features.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of web technologies and software development processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainability practices is highly desirable.
