Our Team
Our team includes a mix of engineers and scientists who are educated in the following sectors: Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering. We are currently recruiting an experienced energy consultant and sales professional to support our growing business.
Role Description
We are hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to manage a mix of existing accounts and prospect successfully for new accounts. To excel in this role, You, the candidate, should have a suite of professional selling skills, e.g. an active listener, a compelling sales personality and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls / inbound leads. Working with leaders and C-suite should be second nature to the You, especially within the Industrial, process and manufacturing industries. Carbon strategy and energy efficiency policy are topics which are to the forefront of your mind.
You will report into and work closely with the Business Development Director, interact regularly with the management team and ensure that our customer accounts operate to a consistent target operating model. You will also proactively support the sharing of know-how. The development and growth potential of this role is wide, for the right senior candidate.

Activities
- Find and grow new business accounts in the UK, including tenders in our target sectors.
- Writing and developing winning quotes, tenders, and proposals for clients.
- Help develop a large account management strategy and execute to plan for key global accounts and SHV sister companies
- Achieve agreed monthly financial SLA’s and targets set out in the commercial and contractual documents agreed with Client.
- A clear and demonstrable understanding of commercial, operational, and strategic business acumen and interested in energy management.
- Hit growth targets and achieve agreed annual budget objectives as set out each year.
- Manage the commercial and contractual change control process with the client including future tendering processes.
- Supporting the planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
- Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events nationally & internationally.
- Can exhibit strong business acumen plus contractual and commercial awareness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Preferably a suitable technical qualification in an Energy Engineering related field.
- Passionate about Energy and Climate Action.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency, e.g. MS Office.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A full clean driving license is essential.
- Business travel to be expected.
