Job Description

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering technical assistance to our internal team, ensuring the optimal functionality of all systems. This position encompasses troubleshooting technical issues, configuring hardware and software, overseeing hardware procurement and inventory management, maintaining internal networks, and providing comprehensive technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support to internal staff, addressing helpdesk requests via video call or in-person interactions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
  • Manage hardware procurement and maintain inventory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software or hardware.
  • Maintain and manage internal networks.
  • Conduct regular system tests and schedule upgrades.
  • Provide technical guidance to co-workers on computer and network usage, offering comprehensive advice and instructions.
Education Requirements

Relevant certifications are desirable:

  • Level 5 /6 in IT/Business Information Systems
  • IT Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
Experience Requirements

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role is essential. The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of computer systems, networks, and security. Familiarity with Windows and the Microsoft 365 platform is necessary.

Training Requirements

On-the-job training will be provided, but a foundational understanding of the company’s specific hardware and software is required. Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies are strongly encouraged.

Skills

The successful candidate should demonstrate outstanding problem-solving and communication skills. The ability to articulate complex information to non-technical colleagues, collaborate effectively within a team, and maintain a detail-oriented approach to work is essential.
