Heat Recovery Project with 3.28-year payback
Heat pumps utilize the refrigeration cycle. Instead of dumping heat to atmosphere as any chiller would, the heat from the
condenser is captured to provide useful heating.
This project also supports the electrification of heat. This allows the use of electricity sourced from grid renewables and reduce fossil fuel consumption. The project consisted of the installation of 1400kW Heat Pump for Generation of LPHW & CHW. This provides 1400kW of LPHW & CHW, and reduces the load on less efficient steam boilers.
